This week starts a month long series showcasing an hour of each generation of K-pop. I want to look at how K-pop's sound has evolved over the last 3 decades leading us into the beginning of the current one. While when and where K-pop generations begin and start is hotly debated and everyone seems to have their own defining guidelines, I'll be following my own model. Generations in any context are fluid and hard to define. I'll mostly be focusing on trends in sound and style and how that shifts.
