Synopsis
Dr. Dery is an infectious disease physician, specializing in the negative impact of poverty on health. In 2010, he started a non-profit organization, the New Orleans Society for Infectious Disease Awareness (NOSIDA), to raise awareness of HIV in Southern Louisiana. Through NOSIDA, Dr. Dery founded WHIV FM, a radio station dedicated to human rights and social justice.
