Synopsis

April's podcast is out and it's all about balance. On it I discuss how to keep it simple by sharing some guiding principals which will help you maintain a state of balance. For me balance means being intentional about how I live my life, attending to pleasure and tolerating pain. We often think of balance in relation to food and health ( for more on this check out my book of course!), but I also think about it in terms of mental health. When our mind is at ease (for the most part) we are in a state of balance. So instead of imposing some rigid structure in an effort to attain balance, I propose that we think of it more as a state of mind. I am not a zen yogi, but I have found my own route to balance which I’m going to play around with this month. This includes considering the internal: striving to balance our relationship with desire & lack alongside an effort to simply ‘be’ and hold these in each hand.
