Synopsis

There’s nothing funny about depression.  Or is there? On this week’s episode Julie talks to Jessica Holmes, a Canadian comedian, actress and author who just released a new book called Depression the Comedy. It’s a very funny, honest and uplifting memoir that describes how Jessica eventually came to terms with, and learned to live alongside, clinical depression. Jessica is best known for her work on CBC’s Royal Canadian Air Farce – a comedy sketch show that used to be on CBC television.  She has opened for Jerry Seinfeld, Ellen DeGeneres, Leslie Neilson and Russel Peters.
