She's taught in California and Florida, working with first-generation college students, hailing from low-income backgrounds. Rita Platt is the author of Working Hard, Working Happy: Cultivating a Climate of Effort and Joy in the Classroom and is a principal in the St. Croix Falls, SD in Wisconsin. Heather Wolpert-Gawron is an award-winning middle school teacher and district 21st Century Instructional coach. She is the author of Just Ask Us: Kids Speak Out on Student Engagement (Corwin/AMLE) which shares the results o
