In this entry, it’s about family. Unfortunately it’s not the feel good, Full House type, but the hyper-religious kind that sweep anything under the carpet that’s too shameful to deal with. I had 35 years of excuses for their behavior, while hiding myself from their periphery just to keep them from being “exposed” to the way I live my life. Now at 36, I just don’t have another day in me to tolerate intolerance. Shared blood and genetics is never a good reason to stay in relationship with people who actively poison you.
