Have you ever left home without reading your bible that day? If we do I would hope we feel like something is missing or something is wrong. At the least we should never leave home without Jesus words connected to our hearts. We should acknowledge him as we go about our day, and worship him with great delight. Psalm 1 talks a bit about that.
