Ron Poarch preaches on Genesis 28:1-22 on May 20 2007. Jacob has just been blessed a first time by Isaac over the older brother Esau. Isaac blesses Jacob again, confirming the blessing on Jacob. They send Jacob off to Paddan-aram to find a wife from the house of Laban. On the way to the land of Ur. God meets Jacob in a dream confirming God's blessing upon Jacob, promising never to leave him, and that Jacob will return to the land promised to him. Jacob responds in praising the Lord, naming the area Bethel (house of God).
