Ron Poarch preaches on 2 Peter 2:4-9 on January 27 2008. Speaking of the day of Judgement peter alludes to what he will talk of in chapter 3, the new Heavens and new Earth. When will this happen? Or has it already happened? We look into the scriptural basis for the view that the new Heavens and new Earth have already come with the ussering in of the new Covenant. Yet we also see that there is much to look forward to and to hope for. This "Now and not yet" tension gives us a taste of the wonderful glory which will come in the final day of judgement.
