He has served on the Board of Directors of Sterling Software (NYSE), Aristocrat Technologies (ASX), and the Texas Growth Fund. He is a graduate of Baylor University, holds an MLA degree from Southern Methodist University, and was a Resident Fellow at the Institute of Politics at Harvard University.  His career in politics was marked with distinction.
