Brandon Luckett was born in a small town outside of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In high school, he was a 3x state champion wrestler and was ranked 30th in the nation as a senior in the 160 pound classification. He graduated from LSU with a degree in physics and is currently pursuing a masters in medical physics from the University of Texas in the Texas Medical Center. His dissertation is on the commissioning of micro-cube thermoluminescent dosimeters for small field quality assurance in radiotherapy. After finding CrossFit in college, Brandon competed for 3 years before being ranked 24th in the US and qualifying for the World Championship CrossFit Games in 2018, where he finished in the top 35. After finishing his masters in June 2019, Brandon will pursue a residency at the University of Oklahoma.
