We all have those prideful moments when it comes to our children. Especially when it surrounds education, athletics, even at the doctor! But the important thing to remember is that as parents, we are a support system. And we need to meet our children where they are, and encourage them every step forward; instead of forcing them to meet us where our egos are. I am so grateful to have recognized my ego coming forward and shut it down in this case in order for David to have the best education he possibly can and still enjoy school.
