He had become obsessed with death and this obsession further manifested itself in the habitual fondling of dead birds. As a young teenager, Patrick also set fire to a catholic church, for which he received a probationary term. Patrick was also known to bully other children, rob from the elderly and had attempted to strangle his mother.
