Prof. Navindra Seeram is among researchers at the University of Rhode Island awarded a $470,000 US Department of Agriculture grant to study maple syrup's anti-inflammatory properties. Navindra Seeram and Angela Slitt, associate professors of biomedical and pharmaceutical sciences in the URI College of Pharmacy are heading up the two-year study.
