She just did her first in Virginia. This was a 30 mile race with 7500 feet of elevation. However, it runs like a 50 miler because it is so difficult. Check it out: it's called Jarman's Gap. Many quit--even the most fit--but Serena finished all five laps. Serena is training for additional races. Luckily, the conditions likely won't be as brutal as they were when she ran Jarman's.
