It is best for weight loss, and is also excellent for cardiovascular and general health. How do you figure out what heart rate you should aim for? Take 180 and subtract your age. But, add or subtract depending upon your fitness. If you aren't fit, subtract five from the number above. If you're quite fit, add five. That is the heart rate you should stay around to remain in Zone 2. You'll notice over time that you're getting more and more fit, and you'll burn fat and strengthen your heart. It's okay if you need to start really, reallllyyy slow to stay in Zone 2 when you start out.
