As reported on last week, California's troubled utility Pacific Gas & Electric has begun shutting down power grid sections in fire-prone areas during periods of high temperatures and low humidity in combination with high winds. At least 600,000 Thomas Cook customers were stranded abroad, after the bankruptcy of the world's oldest travel firm. Last week, the U.S. National Transportation Safety Board, published recommendations it has made to the Federal Aviation Administration in its investigations of theLion Air 737 MAX crash in Indonesia and the crash of Ethiopian Airlines' 737MAX, which together killed 346 people. As reported last week, security researchers at Palo Alto Networks Unit 42 threat intelligence division identified a hacker campaign active since May 2019, which targets transportation and shipping firms that operate in the Persian Gulf. As also reported last week, the iPhones and Android devices from high-profile Tibetans were hacked by a group called Poison Carp from November 2018
