Augustine City of God: Freedom is related to equity. The old pagan city must come down and be replaced by the New Kingdom, that of Christ. Marquis de Sade: the Christian system must come down and that by tearing at the main structures of society. Get people hooked on sexual misconduct and its guilt, they are manipulable. A Christian world view is not able to be manipulated, and thus its principles not eroded or compromised. In this second series the concept of circumcision is emphasized as that of being circumcised in heart, as that is the true Jew. One that has the new birth, the heart of idolatry cut away, a heart that is not swayed by the enticements of immoral behavior, the enticements of a world without Christ.
