Dr. Jasmine Zapata (Dr. JZ), a Dynamic Author, Physician, Inspirational Speaker, Entrepreneur, Former Collegiate Athlete, & Health Empowerment Educator, is on a mission to heal, uplift, & inspire. Having received her Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison in 2013, Dr. JZ completed her Pediatric Adolescent Medicine certification in 2016. On top of all that, she's completing her Master’s in Public Health & Preventive Medicine, a dual medical certification.  As a medical doctor, she specializes in the fields of both pediatrics preventive medicine/public health & her overall focus is looking for ways to get outside the clinic walls to impact health outcomes on a community based level. Her research focuses on healthy birth outcomes & racial disparities in infant mortality among African American women.
