Host, author and consultant Larry "Beans" Baxter joins Thomas and Julie to discuss his investigation into the legend of the abandonment of the village Portlock, Alaska back in the 1940's. Larry was part of two expeditions to this ghost town located in the Port Chatam Bay looking for the legendary Nantiinaq, who allegedly mutilated some of the villagers.. Did this creature really murder them, causing them to abandon their village, or was there more to the story? Did the untimely fire at the cannery have anything to do with this legend? What did Larry and his teams ultimately discover during their investigation. and were they able to sift thru the stories and separate fact from fiction? Larry “Beans” Baxter was born in Kentucky, in the remote areas of Muhlenberg County. His interest in the unexplained and cryptozoology started at a young age, He enlisted in the Army in his early 20’s, and found himself stationed at Fort Richardson, Alaska. Over the next four years he developed a passion for exploring Alaska’s
