Derrick Spafford is a top level running coach from Ontario, Canada. Derrick  has over 30 years of competitive running and coaching experience. He has competed in hundreds of races in distances from 800 meters to 100 miles; from track to ultramarathons. While he enjoys competing in a variety of different events, his current favourite races include trail, mountain, ultra and snowshoe running races. Derrick is the owner of Spafford Health and Adventure (www.HealthandAdventure.com) which offers running coaching, race organization, online sales of ultra/trail running gear and freelance writing. Derrick is also a member of the La Sportiva Mountain Running Team.
