Synopsis
Dyadic developmental psychotherapy - Dan Hughes. Dyadic developmental psychotherapy is an approach that is gaining momentum in Scotland as an effective intervention for children and young people in residential care, who are adopted or are in foster care or children have experienced abuse, neglect or trauma in their early years. Dan Hughes - the developer of dyadic developmental psychotherapy - is a regular visitor to Scotland. During a four day workshop organised by Scottish Attachment in Action in Glasgow in September 2012, Edwina Grant, a co-founder of Scottish Attachment in Action, talked to Dan about creating an attitude of PACE - playful, accepting, curious, and empathic - which is central to dyadic developmental psychotherapy.
