"Going to the Army!" is a podcast series featuring Salvation Army music. This 26th Episode is for May 2016 and continues the return of the "Going to the Army!" ministry, now in its 3rd season. This episode features Salvation Army bands, singers and soloists from around the world - with a special feature on a good friend of mine, Dr Clarence Adoo MBE - a Salvationist musician whose professional career as a trumpet player in leading orcheatras was tragicaly cut short by a terrible car accident that left him paralysed from the neck down. Despite this he has continued his career in music - not just in administration but as a performer and conductor - as we shall hear in his inspiring interview in the podcast.As well as hearing a recording of Clarence playing we hear the International Staff Band in a special recording performing a march with Clarence conducting - and we have 2 excerpts from a BRAND NEW CD recording issued to help raise funds for him recorded by The Fairey Band, one of the leading contesting bands
