Synopsis

From an old converted barbershop inside the area’s largest all-nude strip club comes the twenty-third episode of WICKidz Radio hosted by WICIR, the Washtenaw Interfaith Coalition for Immigrant Rights. WICKidz Radio is locally run by youth for youth in the Ypsilanti area. The show focuses on local and national social justice issues. The goal is that listeners can learn and take inspiration from the perspectives of young people, and go out to make a difference. In this month’s episode, Andres and Manny discuss U.S. aggression in Syria and Afghanistan as well as the looming confrontation in North Korea. Frania Mendoza, the new coordinator for the WICIR teen group, joins the conversation as the trio answer listener questions about the future of the DAPA / DACA program.
