The big news story this past weekend was that Yevgeny Prigozhin, founder and leader of the Wagner mercenary group, “declared war on Russia’s military leadership”. Just as it began -- it ended abruptly. According to world media sources, Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko negotiated a “truce”, halting the Wagner march on Moscow and stopping the incipient “civil war” before it started. Could it have actually been a coup as the Western media insists? Was it propaganda to ensure that Putin sounds like he has no control over his military?
