Jesus is telling us that BECAUSE you’re a sinner, do something differently. BECAUSE you are broken, there is a new way.  So do not be afraid of your sin, what you will do, what you are inclined to do, don’t be afraid that you will fall short. BECAUSE, from now on you will fish for people. Change is coming, and God is sending us on a mission.

We've all been there.  Long nights in our lives, our work, our families. Empty boats in our finances, our work, our relationships. We find Simon experiencing a long night and an empty boat when he meets Jesus in Luke 5. Jesus invites Simon to a small, simple, act of obedience - an invitation to go out into the deeper water after teaching on the lakeshore that day and it changed the course of his life forever. When Jesus invites us into deeper water, what is our answer?

This week, Pastor Greg preaches over Luke 4 when Jesus visits His hometown. 

It was all going so well....until it wasn't.  In Luke 4, Jesus first public teaching occurs in the shadows of the homes and streets where he grew up, but the welcome turned sour after Jesus flips the script on familiar texts from Isaiah.  God's love, favor, and salvation include more people than just us?   Why was this a surprise?  Why did Nazareth reject the hometown hero, Jesus?  Why was it that those who knew Jesus really didn't know Jesus?

This week, we dive into Exodus as we continue our study through the bible. 

We have the opportunty to meet a need because of what Jesus Christ has done & what the prophets foretold. If we witness to that, we have the chance to change our family, community, and world. 

This week, Pastor Lindsey continues to lead us in our study of Genesis and reflect on the seeds that have been planted in our life. 

This week, Pastor Greg takes us through the story of Jesus' baptism & reminds us to remember our own. 

In week one of our modern series, The Bible Year, Pastor Lindsey preaches on Genesis & Exodus. God enters into the chaos that is our lives, creates something beautiful, and calls it good.
