The Russians have complained that the British and Americans weren't doing anything to help in the war and that they had to take on the Germans all by themselves. Nothing could be further from the truth. Stopping Germans from getting oil in the middle east would have been a waste of time if the British and Americans hadn't kicked the Nazis out of North Africa.
