The body of Clauddine “Dee Dee” Blanchard was found murdered in her Missouri home on June 14, 2015. She had been stabbed to death and had died several days before she was found. Police had gone to the home, following several strange facebook posts on Dee Dee’s facebook page.Police, not finding Gypsy Rose, Dee Dee’s mentally and physically handicapped daughter, they feared that she may have been kidnapped. The day after the discovery of Dee Dee’s body, Gypsy Rose was found, in the company of her online boyfriend, Nick Godejohn. She confessed to not having any of the disabilities her mother had claimed that she had, and in particular she could walk. Darlie Routier currently sits on the death row in Texas for the murder of one of her sons, five year old Damon. Also killed the same night was her six year old son Devon, however she has not yet been tried for his death. The arrest came spectacularly and almost out of the blue, almost 20 years after the disappearances and murders of three women in Claremont, a suburb of Perth, Western Australia. Bradley Robert Edwards was arrested on December 22, 2016 and charged with two of the murders. That of Jane Rimmer and Keira Glennon. On September 24, 2020, almost four years after his arrest, Edwards was found guilty of the murders of Jane and Keira as well as other assault and related charges. He was found not guilty of the suspected murder of his first victim, Sarah Spiers. The enthralling police interview continues...Thirty year old Travis Alexander was murdered by his ex-girlfriend Jodi Arias on June 4, 2008,. After spending several hours together in Travis’ home having sex and taking photos Travis headed to the shower. Arias followed him and took several photos before she attacked. Travis died from 27 stab wounds and a gun shot to the head. On June 4, 2008, thirty year old Travis Alexander was murdered by his ex-girlfriend Jodi Arias. They had spent part of the day together, they had sex and took photos of each other. Once they were finished, Travis headed to the shower where Arias took several more photos before she attacked. Travis was stabbed at least 27 times with a knife that severed his carotid (artery, his jugular vein and his throat. He also sustained numerous defense injuries to his hands as he tried to fight off Arias. As he slumped in the bottom of the shower, Arias shot him in the head. This week on Monsters Who Murder we examine the various media interviews conducted with Richard Ramirez following his capture. Ramirez was known as the Night Stalker, but he is not to be confused with the recently caught killer, Joseph D’Angelo known as the Original night stalker (among other monikers). Ramirez raped, tortured and murdered at least 14 victims over a 16 month period between April 1984 and August 1985. His youngest victim, was also his first. 9 year old Mei Leung was raped, beaten, stabbed and then hanged. The girl’s murder was only linked to Ramirez in 2009, yet a bombshell was dropped when a second person’s DNA was also found connected to the Leung crime scene.Following Leung’s murder, Ramirez travelled across California where he would usually murder people in their homes after breaking in to rob them. In the attack, Roof killed nine people and injured a tenth. He fled the scene, but many recognised the man and an A-P-B was put out on him. Israel Keyes is an American serial killer, rapist, arsonist, burglar and bank robber. He was captured in 2012 over the murder of Samantha Koening.In part 1 we listened as police investigators started their interrogation of Keyes over several days in what can only be described as a game of cat and mouse as Keyes refused to make it an easy win for detectives.We now pick on on June 7, 2012 as Keyes is brought in for another interrogation. Again they go through the same information and his Miranda rights. He has in front of him a cup of coffee and a brown paper bag containing some food.
