Dave Munday
24/02/2018 Duration: 01h25minA conversation I had with oceanographer Dave Munday about his pathway into science, dealing with uncertainty, what it takes to finish a PhD, and dealing with the craziness of conferences. We briefly talk about whether or not conferences should be replaced by virtual meetings - an important but difficult question. This is my first attempt at a podcast. I think it went well overall. We had a genuine, honest conversation and discussed some important ideas. The recording is a little quiet because I was only had one microphone, but it's mostly audible. Dave and I started running out of energy after about an hour, so it gets a little slower at that point. But for a couple of amateurs, I think it's alright. Enjoy. Just to be explicit - the thoughts and opinions expressed here at not necessarily those of our employers! In this podcast, Dave and I represent ourselves only.
