Eckardt, M.D. Psychiatrist and Psychoanalyst Daughter of Karen Horney, pioneer psychoanalyst President of American Academy of Psychoanalysis and Dynamic Psychiatry 1972-1973 Dr. Eckardt discusses growing up in Berlin and her psychoanalysis by Melanie Klein when she was 10 years old as well as the founding of the American Academy of Psychoanalysis and Dynamic Psychiatry in 1955. Dr, Eckardt was 100 years old at time of the interview on November 19, 2013 and currently resides in Barrington, Rhode Island.
