For this episode, Jayce and I discuss the first round of DC Fandome, which has now shifted to a two-day event. We break down what we're hoping to see from the film branch of the DC Universe. And what does Zack Snyder have in store with the Snyder Cut trailer that a lot of fans are anxiously awaiting? Additionally, there's some Star Wars news with some potential TV or movie spin-offs for a pair of big villains in the franchise's history. There's some big news on the Marvel movie front with Olivia Wilde being tapped to direct a film in the Spider-Verse with all signs pointing to it being Spider-Woman. We also discuss the likely delays for Marvel series on Disney+, why The Wachowski Sisters are the dummies of the week and more.

DC Comics has announced the end of several new and long-running titles with more cuts expected. In this episode, I'm breaking down my thoughts on the end of Justice League Odyssey, Hawkman, Teen Titans, Young Justice and more. 

We break down the need for a dramatic take on The Fresh Prince of Bel Air, which skips the comedy and instead goes for a more realistic take on being black in America.  Why did Ruby Rose leave Batwoman and do the fellas think her explanation is so simple? With the recent layoffs at DC Comics, Chief and Jovon consider three ways DC Films could help turn the tide by creating stronger movies to generate more interest in the comics.   No more catalog 4K movies coming from Disney in a sign that hints that the format might not have as long as legs as its DVD and Blu-Ray predecessors. 

We break down a ton this week from Mulan's Disney+ debut, The Matrix's trans connection and more John Wicks coming.  Mulan is making its Disney+ debut in an unconventional manner that may pave the way for other upcoming Disney films like Black Widow. The Matrix is back in the news as one of the co-creators Lily Wachowski confirms the narrative that the 1999 film was a transgender allegory. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the first X-Men, we reflect on Bryan Singer's original film and its impact. Then we have a little fun and rank the X-Men films from X-Men to X-Men: Dark Phoenix. As Warner Bros. continues catering to Christopher Nolan with Tenet's release, we consider if they should have veered away from his guidance with the DC Universe after The Dark Knight Rises based on the success of the rest of the DC Extended Universe films.  Jon Boyega is done with Star Wars. Would we want to see more of Finn or do we blame Boyega for being done with the franchise thanks to the subset of toxic fans? And we've got a very quality Dummy of the Week to wrap this milestone edition. 

We break down the news about the new Batwoman, Javicia Leslie, and if she has us more interested in watching Season 2.  Halle Berry backed out of a role to play a transgender man prompting a debate on the appropriate level of authenticity for roles.  Lee Daniels is working on The Wonder Years from the perspective of a black family in Alabama.  And at what point do studios tap out and decide there's nothing to salvage with the 2020 movie season outside of the VOD market?

It's a busy episode for us this week as we hit on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the DC Extended Universe, the Star Wars saga and black supremacist worrywart Terry Crews. Ray Fisher's shares his real thoughts on his experience working with Joss Whedon as he completed Justice League after Zack Snyder departed the project. With Snyder releasing his finished cut and the opportunity to have his character Cyborg's story fully being told, Fisher now isn't holding back on his issues. Why do some of the fellas have an issue with his stance? Anthony Mackie put Marvel Studios on blast for its lack of diversity particularly behind the camera. Do we agree with this take or think he's going after the wrong studio?

Michael Keaton might be back as Batman? Gunner, Jayce and I discuss how the DC Extended Universe could work with this big shake-up. How does this impact the Flashpoint adaptation? Where does this leave Jeffrey Dean Morgan's possible return as Thomas Wayne? What role does Ray Fisher's Cyborg play in the Flash standalone? With theaters still closed we consider when blockbusters will be back and question if it's not just time for 2020 films to go to the on demand format or just wait until 2021. Also, we talk Stargirl, a new CW/DC Universe show that deserves more attention and love. Finally, I talk about Followed, a cool found footage thriller that actually sparks some new life into the genre. 

This week we're talking about a very special screening of Black Widow for "underserved communities" and the questionable stance of trying to get a theatrical release this summer for Tenet.  DC Fandom is coming with news on TV series and the potential of some more footage of the Zack Snyder Justice League cut and the new challenge of finding fresh content.  Plus, what do we think of the Bold and Beautiful's unique way of filming love scenes? It's been a wild few weeks giving Jayce and I plenty to discuss for this episode. From Hartley Sawyer's retroactive firing from The Flash based on tweets he made before joining the series, Starbucks' tricky Black Lives Matter support and more, we tackle a lot this week.  The Bachelor franchise couldn't even wait for us to get this episode out before announcing (finally) its first black Bachelor, but a lot of our discussion is still valid and might prove useful as Matt James begins his journey. 

After a little break, I'm back with a review of the latest NXT TakeOver, the nostalgia tinged In Your House theme edition complete with the return of Todd Pettengill. I'm breaking down all of the matches including the Backlot Brawl between Adam Cole and The Velveteen Dream, the women's world title matchup featuring Charlotte Flair vs. Io Shirai vs. Rhea Ripley and Keith Lee vs. Johnny Garagno for the North American Championship.

In the wake of Warner Bros. moving forward with the Zack Snyder cut of Justice League, we consider some other options for the DC Universe and if a director's cut of other films would be an improvement. Could David Ayer actually improve Suicide Squad? We consider how he could make a better film with his own vision. Also, we get some breaking news with the reveal that Henry Cavill will be returning to the DC Extended Universe as Superman, which has us very excited about the future of the DC movie universe.

Given just how utterly crappy 2020 has been from a wrestling perspective, let alone the worldwide front, we needed an entertaining diversion. AEW Double or Nothing 2020 proved more than up to the challenge. I'm breaking down the highs, minor lows and everything in between including the AEW title match of Jon Moxley vs. Mr. Brodie Lee and the instant iconic classic Stadium Stampede match of the Inner Circle vs. The Elite (with Matt Hardy).

We lose our minds cracking on Terry Crews' latest starring film, John Henry, and the guys have some serious issues with this homework assignment for your listening pleasure. The DC Universe had a ton of news as well as we break down Ruby Rose's departure from Batwoman, the news of the Snyder Cut of Justice League and the premiere of Stargirl. We haven't been able to get together to do any bad movie parties in a while, but we did manage to come up with a list of five movies we think are ridiculously overrated. Not surprisingly there was some overlap with movies some of us loved that made it on to other's lists. And just to make things even more fun we decided tin the wake of Snowpiercer coming to TNT to come up with a list of movies that would actually make for good TV series.

With the conclusion of one of the most beloved entries in the Star Wars saga, Jayce and I break down our thoughts on the final season of The Clone Wars including the movie worthy final four installments. Now it's time to get ready for a deep dive into the world of Rebels.

Taking inspiration from a Twitter question, the guys share on five films that are perfect to them from start to finish. Some of the answers aren't big surprises -- yes, the Marvel Studios camp is represented, but there are some that will definitely prove to be a bit more controversial. JJ Abrams is working on a new project for HBO Max featuring the magical characters of the DC Universe in Justice League Dark. We also break down the news that a Sinister Six film was planned before Spider-Man returned to the MCU. Vince McMahon and the WWE fired a bunch of wrestlers just a day after being declared an essential business. we break down what was an awful PR week for the Universe as well.
