Synopsis

Yeardley Smith and Zibby Allen host this frank, unfiltered true crime podcast with Small Town Detectives and identical twins, Dan and Dave. Dan investigates Violent Crimes. Dave investigates Sex Crimes and Child Abuse. Often peppered with primary resources such as 9-1-1 calls and suspect interrogation recordings, each episode introduces a new crime, and is told by the detectives who investigated it. But Yeardley and Zibby dont just settle for the who, why, how and where of it all, they also seek to uncover the human side of their guests, offering a glimpse into the raw reality of true crime in Small Town, USA. Names, locations, and certain details have been altered to protect the privacy of the victims and their families.

Three years ago he was promoted to sergeant and is currently the Detective Sergeant at his police agency. BK lives in the city he works in. Retired Deputy Chief Constable Tom returns to the podcast to talk about why this cold case was such an eye-opener for his police department. The detective: Ret. Deputy Chief Constable Tom was one of Scotland’s most senior police officers. A graduate of Edinburgh University and The FBI Academy, his last role was as commander of a linked murder investigation, commonly known as The Worlds End Murders. He writes a regular "Inside Justice" column for The Scotsman newspaper and has authored several books, including "The Worlds End Murders: The Final Verdict" and a groundbreaking study of forensic science called "Ruxton: The First Modern Murder." The first of a series of deadly explosions tore through Detective Sam’s station in Northern Ireland.
