This week, Doug continues to work through the first heresy to hit the early church, adding circumcision and the Law to the Gospel! In other words, Jesus plus... He looks at the first gathering of the church to deal with an attack on the purity of the Gospel - Jesus plus NOTHING! The false teaching of adding the Law to the Gospel was a direct threat against the Church! In today's study, we see the Church respond by the leadership of the Holy Spirit in a way that is wise and glorifying to God!

In today's study, we continue to see the faithfulness of an effective minister as Paul and Barnabas preach the good news, in spite of persecution and rejection.

This week, Doug continues begins Acts 14 and the ministry of Paul and Barnabas at Iconium. We have been following the unleashing of God's Spirit through the Church at Antioch for the spreading of the Gospel from Antioch to Rome! In today's study, we see the marks of an effective minister as Paul and Barnabas preach the good news, in spite of persecution and rejection. To finish faithful, you have to walk with perseverance, speak with His passion, serve as His Priest, and walk by His Spirit.

This week, Doug continues in Acts 13 and the unleashing of God's Spirit through the Church at Antioch for the spreading of the Gospel from Antioch to Rome! In today's study, we see Paul's conclusion to his first recorded sermon where he , under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, shares the Sovereign authority of God and His desire for His people to receive HIS SALVATION!! Paul reminds his listeners that their is NO MIDDLE GROUND with God's salvation - JESUS. He is the only one that matters and Paul warns them on them to repent and believe in JESUS!!

This week, Doug continues in Acts 13 and the unleashing of God's Spirit through the Church at Antioch for the spreading of the Gospel from Antioch to Rome! In today's study, we see Paul's first recorded sermon where he , under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, shares the Sovereign authority of God and His desire for His people to receive HIS SALVATION!! Paul reminds his listeners that God's salvation is the only one that matters and calls on them to repent and believe in JESUS!!

In today's study, we see how God met a man who wasn't seeking Him, instead, Saul was an enemy of Jesus Christ, but in God's Sovereign Love and plan, He converted Saul from and enemy to and evangelist. Luke shows us that no one is beyond God's saving power and grace!

Doug continues with our study of Acts and the unleashing of God's Spirit into His followers for the spreading of the Gospel from Jerusalem to Rome! In today's study, we see how God directed Philip to a man on the side of a desert road to share the GOOD NEWS with him. This man, from Africa, was a TRUE CONVERT, unlike Simon there Magician, who simply wanted to use God. Luke shows us what happens when people seek God, not just his gifts and how Jesus' followers are instruments of hope.
