    News continues to be slow as the government shutdown lags on into its 19th day. However, Secretary Sonny Perdue announced that MFP payment signup deadline will be extended in light of the shutdown. US-China negotiations continue to be fairly tight-lipped but the Chinese did release a statement saying they were going to continue increasing importing US agricultural products. On such news, the S&P 500 index continued its 4th day increase. Finally, tune in to hear Ray Bohacz, also known as the Hot Rod Farmer, discussing how he got his start in the industry and has become a prominent technical equipment writer for his own site, Successful Farming, and others.
