The Broken Brain is a podcast with a Psychotherapist's view of life and culture. Hosted by Dwight Hurst, a licensed Mental Health Counselor, the show takes a look at trauma recovery, addiction, relationships, and popular culture. Sometimes we talk about suicide prevention, sometimes we review a movie with a psychological bent. Virtually all weight management plans (by themselves) have been demonstrated to be ineffective. Using principles of psychology, addiction recovery, and cognitive-behavioral therapy can help with weight and eating related problems, because these approaches look at the underlying causes of the problems.
