  • CS 469: RIP The Great Awakening, 2014-2020 pt 1

    26/06/2022 Duration: 01h12min

On today's episode, Teen (Escape From Plan A, @mont_jiang on Twitter) and Chris (Escape from Plan A, @JesuInToast) join Trevor to discuss the life and death of "The Great Awokeness". The basic idea of this episode is that the economy was good for a while, so people had money to waste and also wanted to talk about a lot of hot-button issues involving marginalized groups thanks to events in the news that were kept in the forefront via social media and protests. Now money is tight and people are out of patience for a lot of these social issues, but many in academia, politics, and media didn't get the memo and are in for a rude awakening.
