In Part 2 of our Indian River “Glory Years” retrospective, Chris Shelton visits the Spotlight again to discuss the success of the 1980 and 1981 IRHS boys’ basketball teams.

From 1979-1981, Indian River High School reached the pinnacle of athletic success in the State of Delaware. The accomplishments of the school’s football and boys’ basketball teams whipped the community into a frenzy and made Indian River a force to be reckoned with in Delaware high school athletics. A special guest who was member of all of these teams steps into the Spotlight to discuss the IRHS “glory years.”

Selbyville Public Library Director Kelly Kline and social worker Dorian Baker talk about a unique partnership that is making social workers available to Indian River School District residents.

Lord Baltimore Elementary School Assistant Principal Travis Bower and two district students – Addison Lane and Ruby DiSabatino – talk about the upcoming “SuperBot Saturday” VEX IQ robotics competition. The competition will be held on Saturday, February 17 from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Georgetown Elementary School.
