Jo Ann and Stacy Show Palau Episode 13
13/05/2005 Duration: 43minWelcome Back Survivor Fans, Listener Feedback This was our best week yet for listener feedback. Dave chimed in via the comments section of the last show. You can scroll down and click the comments field to see exactly what he had to say. Sandy expected Katie would be the next one to leave. Bill provided a great, detailed prediction that covered the challenges as well as his expectation that Jenn would be the next to leave. Enzo is back with an audio update that we added directly into the show itself. He did a great job of assembling it and included intro/outro music as well as a title, "Do the Shuffle". We initially thought we might need to cut it down to specific clips, but after checking our storage budget, we decided to just include the whole thing for everyone to enjoy. Great job Enzo! Thanks again to all of you. It's the community aspect of this that makes it really special. We'd love to hear from more of you. Come on. There's only one show left. Who's your pick for final three, final tw

06/05/2005 Duration: 31minHi Again Survivor Fans, Listener Feedback Bill picked Katie to go this week, but he called the reward challenge and family member angle perfectly. Hey Enzo, we missed getting your prediction this week. Hope you're doing well and can catch us up with your predictions for the next episode. There's only two shows left. Who's your pick for the next person to get voted off the island? How about the final two? To leave an audio comment, call 206-350-JASS(5277). Jo Ann and Stacy Show Palau Episode 11
29/04/2005 Duration: 33minHello Again, Listener Feedback Both Bill and Enzo sent us their picks for this week along with some observations on how the show is shaping up. Bill's pick last week was particularly astute in that he accurately predicted the fall of the mighty Stephenie. Enzo's feedback said to watch for Greg to be voted off soon. He also highlighted what appeared to be an overt, extreme manipulation by Jeff Probst of Janu last week in Tribal Council. Several of the TV journalists agreed with Enzo and were quite vocal in calling foul on Probst. It's getting down to the wire. There will only be three more shows before this season is done. What do you think we should focus on when Survivor's over? Who's your pick for the next person to get voted off the island? To leave an audio comment, call 206-350-JASS(5277). Jo Ann and Stacy Show Palau Episode 10
22/04/2005 Duration: 29minWelcome Back, Woohoo! We got more listener feedback. :) Bill sent us an email asking for more complete coverage. He caught us making a format change which shortened the show and left out an item he really wanted to discuss. I think we have a plan to fix that now Bill, and thanks for sending in that request. We got our first voicemail from Laughing Pygmy, the host of the Pygmy Island website. Check our show on Episode 4 for some more background on his site. He included his predictions for the final two which was really cool. Sounds like he's a big fan of Stephenie too. We really enjoy the listener feedback. Hey, is there anyone out there that would be interested in doing an interview like the one we did with Survivor Fan Sandy? We got a device from Radio Shack that will let us make a digital recording of the call. We'll pay for the call and include it as a special segment on the show. We've got a set of sample questions we can send ahead of time to let you know what we're looking for. Let us know if you're

Jo Ann and Stacy Show Palau Episode 9
15/04/2005 Duration: 16minWelcome Back, It's time for a rundown of episode 9 of Survivor Palau. But first, we want to say a big "Thank You" to listener E. He sent us a note to chastise us, for being so harsh with our assessment of Ulong's mental capabilities. As E pointed out in his input, it's very likely that Bobby John can read given that he has a journalism degree. Jo Ann thinks he's cute, end of story. I still think he might have had someone doing his homework for him, but getting the feedback and sharing in the discussion of the show is what really makes podcasting special. We really enjoyed getting that email from E. It made our day. :) We'd love to hear from some of the other folks that are listening too. Send us your pick for who's going to get voted off next. To leave an audio comment, call 206-350-JASS(5277). Or you can always add a text comment to this page by clicking the "comments" link or send us an email at: joannandstacyshow@gmail.com. Jo Ann and Stacy Show Palau Episode 8
08/04/2005 Duration: 19minHowdy ho Kids, Here we are at episode 8 of Survivor Palau and the only thing we can say about Ulong tribe is that they're really very consistent. They can't seem to win in any combination. Ulong, Ulose, Uout.... :) We're trying some new equipment for the show this week. We've added a Behringer Tube Ultrgain Mic200 pre-amp and an Electro-Voice MC200 dynamic microphone. We'd really appreciate it if you could provide some feedback and let us know if it sounds any better. To leave an audio comment, call 206-350-JASS(5277). Interview with Survivor Fan Sandy
01/04/2005 Duration: 19minHere's our first podcast interview. Our special guest is Survivor Fan Sandy. She's seen every season, and we had a great time gabbing with someone else that enjoys the show as much as we do. :) Thanks again Sandy!

Jo Ann and Stacy Show Palau Episode 7
01/04/2005 Duration: 30minWelcome Back, Here's our show on episode 7 of Survivor Palau. We're having a blast watching Ulong, the worst tribe ever to play the game, slowly self destruct. The sheer volume of mistakes they make turns every endeavor into a comedy of errors. :) We've also got a special treat this week. Our first interview is done. We had a great time talking about our favorite show with Survivor Fan Sandy. With our podcast generally running 30 minutes, we thought it would be best to post the interview seperately. You'll see it posted just above this update on the web page. Jo Ann and Stacy Show Palau Episode 6
24/03/2005 Duration: 33minHi Gang! Team Chucklehead, AKA Ulong, continues their trend as the worst Survivor tribe ever, but we were thrilled to see the "Hypocrite Hick" finally get kicked out of the game. :) We're enjoying this season and really enjoying creating each Podcast. Jo Ann and Stacy Show Palau Episode 5
17/03/2005 Duration: 31minHello Again! Survivor moved to a new night and it was certainly a show full of surprises. The only thing we weren't suprised by this week was that Ulong managed to lose another challenge. :) There are a couple of operational changes to mention on our show this week too. First, I've been experimenting with the audio settings quite a bit lately, but I'm going to forgo the quest to eliminate the noise for now and just learn to live with that hissing sound in the background. I tried to remove it last week and didn't realize until I had already posted the show that it had some strange affect and created echos and some other audible oddities. We're going to switch the text portion of the update over to a slightly different format too. We aren't really getting any participation on the show :(, so I decided that I'll use this section to post the show notes, a brief guide to what we're saying when in the podcast. From what I understand while listening to Adam Curry on his Daily Source Code podcast, it'll be impo

Jo Ann and Stacy Show Palau Episode 4
11/03/2005 Duration: 29minGreetings Survivor Fans! It's Thursday night and time for our our fifth show. First, we're both thrilled that Ulong finally did something as a team and gave Kim the boot! How do lazy people like that get cast to be on the show? I guess she fooled quite a few people along the way and really knew how to say just the right things to be selected. I bet she put more effort into getting chosen for the show than she did while she was there on the island. We came across a really interesting Survivor site this past week that we wanted to share with you. If you've ever thought you might want to be a contestant on the show you'll want to check it out. It's called Pygmy Island. The tag line is, "Out Write, Out Tape, Out Cast". It's dedicated to helping you prepare the best audition tape and interview to get you on the show. People who have applied for the show share their experiences. There was one really detailed account that we both enjoyed reading that described the trials and tribulations of a woman that almost mad

Jo Ann and Stacy Show Palau Episode 3
04/03/2005 Duration: 32minHello Survivor Fans! We're back again with our fourth show focusing on episode 3 of Survivor Palau. This was a classic episode in that one of the characters that we both wanted to get the boot survived, and a strong but injured player left the game too early. That appears to happen all too often in this game. There was a small improvement in the editing of the show this week thanks to a short reward challenge. We actually get to hear Ibrehem talk this time. It was nice to see a few more interactions back in camp. Did anyone else think there was a chance that Tom or Ian could kill a shark with a sharp stick? :) Speaking of Koror, there's some obvious problems brewing there between Cayrn and Katie, but they managed to avoid having to thin the tribe again due to their strong overall teamwork. I bet they will not have any problems deciding who leaves if they ever do end up at tribal council. Did anyone else think that was a particularly crappy reward for this week's reward challenge? How is sewing gear and som

Jo Ann and Stacy Show Palau Episode 2
25/02/2005 Duration: 28minHi Again! Here's our third show that looks back at episode 2 of Survivor Palau. This season is progressing well, but we're conerned that we don't get to see more of the human interactions. The producers appear to have decided to focus more on the action events for this season. The "in camp" segments seem short, fragmented, and a few survivors don't appear to be getting any air time at all. The challenges continue to be more difficult than most of the events we have seen in the past. It looks like voting off the weaklings is the best route to go if this keeps up. Our accuracy for picking the next person voted off took a turn for the worse this week. Neither of us picked the person that got voted off, but it appears from her parting comments that she was ready to leave. So, the show's good and keeping us entertained and adding the whole podcast aspect has been a big boost to the fun factor. Truth be told, we are having as much fun creating these shows as we are watching the TV show. This last week was extra

Jo Ann and Stacy Show Palau Episode 1
18/02/2005 Duration: 20minHello Survivor Fans! Survivor is back and and it started off with a zinger of an opening. Two contestants booted out within the first 15 mins of the show in a way that makes us think back to embarrasing scenes on the playground in grade school. I have to admit that I was surprised that one of the young and beautiful was dismissed so quickly. Not a single one of my picks from the premiere show was accurate, while Jo Ann nailed one of hers on the first call and her other two looked poised to go next should their team lose immunity. Our first impression of Jolanda was fairly accurate. She did turn out to be too brash for her own good. Of course you can never tell with how things get edited. We never see the whole story do we? :) Listen to the show and let us know what you think. I'm sure we'll be talking about this at work tomorrow. We would love to hear your views on the first episode too. The easiest way to respond is just to click on the comment link. If you prefer email, you can reach us at: Jo Ann and

You can listen to the show by clicking on the POD icon or on the JASS20050215.mp3 filename down below. See if you agree with our predictions for who the first three to leave the show will be. Our first episode focuses on our impressions of the contestants for Survivor Palau from reviewing their pictures and brief descriptions on the website.
