D. Edward, Singer/Songwriter and Multi-Instrumentalist, has played with numerous groups over his long and storied career, and now releases his new solo project titled 'Love Is', releasing worldwide on October 21st, 2014. 'Love Is' was two years in the making and features catchy hooks and grooves with a familiar, yet unique and modern pop and retro soul sound. D. Edward has the ability to sound different on every song yet maintain his own signature style throughout. 'Love Is' features Grammy Award Winners Pianist Laura Sullivan, Trumpet player Steffen Kuehn and Saxophonist Tony Peebles from 2013 Grammy winning band Pacific Mambo Orchestra, and Billboard Music Award Winner Leah Tysse. Also featured on the new album is Marlon “Wild Bill” Curry, Percussionist for R&B hit-maker Kem, Bassist Eric EQ Young, who the legendary Larry Graham calls his direct Bass legacy, and Ben Reyes, who recorded on Bobby Brown’s multi-platinum 'Don’t Be Cruel' album.

Ebola seems to be in the news a lot. Is it a pandemic? Should we all be wearing NASA space suits when we venture outside? There is a rumor that a new DC tour company is planning tours of the white house. Now, the tours are minimalistic and quick, but they offer assistance in scaling the fence.  Nice to see that half a dozen of our elected officials cut their 5 week fund raising vacation short to beat up on the Secret Service. I am sure that it was pure coincidence that the director just happened to be apointed by Obama. Three high school football players died on the the field this week. What is wrong with this picture?

There is a huge man hunt underway, No Bail Bondsman invited. There is also a very interesting court case meandering its way through the system, this case will be of interest to everyone in the Bail Bond industry. We will aslo be discussing some of the more colorful stories of the week. When the police failed to take two fugitives into custody one enterprising Recovery Agent drove them to the court house and hand cuffed them to the door!

In June 2013, Christina Holmes, a singer/songwriter originally from New Jersey, now based in Rhode Island, was presented with the opportunity to record her debut album with multi-platinum producer Narada Michael Walden after he heard some of her demos and was blown away by her raw talent. Walden has produced music royalty like Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey and Aretha Franklin, and worked with world-class musicians like Sting, Carlos Santana and Lenny Kravitz. He bonded not only with her talent, but also with the message her music represents. Soon after Christina flew to California to begin working with Narada at his legendary Tarpan Studios.  I will be talking to Christina Holmes about Peace, Love and C. Holmes. Better still. we will be taking a couple of tracks for a spin.

There is lots to talk about this week. What amazes me is that Congress just came back from a 5 week summer vacation, spent 6 days in session, not achieving very much, so now they are off on a 6 week vacation. Appently they need 6 weeks to persuade their local voters to keep then in a job! Frankly I would not employ any of them to even cut my lawn. Best way to annoy a canditate that knocks on your door, ask them what they have done in the last two years. Those that survive the Novermber will be armed to the teeth with pork projects offered to the local voters. November will be the season of pork, they will vote on anything as long as pork is included. The NFL continues to get bad press over domestic violence claims, bu do the statistics bear out the publicity, you might be surprised. Scotland does a Quebec! Actually the pair of them have a great deal in common.

Drawing, and most recently The Secrets In The Fairy Chinmeys. At the center of the action is teenagers Annie Tillery. To quote Linda Frank "This is Nancy Drew meets CSI". While aimed at the Young Adult audience I really like the books, and I am anything but young. On air we will be discuassing all three books. ISIS beheads another Westerner and breaks the knife in the process. Who is willing to put boots on the ground to stop these lunatics? The coalition to fight ISIS seems to be mostly talk and bluster. Putin continues on his merry way in the Ukraine, and much like ISIS doesn't seem to care a whole lot what anyone thinks. Removing Russia from the global banking system SWIFT might have serious and disasterous results.

The press is brimming with stories about manhunts waged by the various law agencies, You only have to think back to the Boston Bombing atrocity to see that, just about every three letter federal agency threw huge resources at the problem. Not so well covered are the hunts for more less well known criminals. While I mean no disrespect to the hard working police, they have limited resources, the new crime takes precedent over the old crime. The jails are full to capacity, so many people are permitted to escape incarceration while waiting for trial by being Bonded Out. But what happens when someone does not uphold the bond agreement and fails to show up in court or breaks some other condition of the bond agreement? Much to the excitement of music fans worldwide, classic rock ensemble Vespers Nine will be releasing their eagerly awaited debut CD 'True Story' on September 27, 2014. Vespers Nine, a five member premier classic rock band based out of South Florida, launched in late 2012. Made up of well-seasoned musicians, the band is a versatile, high energy rock band, that also writes and performs it's own original music. Musical influences include Foreigner, Journey, Heart, The Beatles, Queen, Van Halen, Styx, Rush, Metallica and Boston to name only a few.

It has been a busy week for news. We have Vlad the Russian peacemaker suposedly brokering a deal with Ukraine. Many are doubting Putin's motives. Philip Claypool has released 'Come On Back Home', a new album poised to be his most personal, revealing album yet. Much to the excitement of guitar players worldwide, acoustic guitar virtuoso Peppino D'Agostino will be releasing his eagerly awaited new album 'Penumbra' on Mesa/Bluemoon on August 5, 2014. Along with original material, the new CD features work by Roland Dyens, Maurizio Colonna, and two compositions written especially for D'Agostino by Latin Grammy award-winning Brazilian guitarist Sergio Assad.

ISIS ramped up their notoriety by beheading a US journalist. The killer had a british accent. I can assure you that it wasn't me, I have not left Picayune for a long time.   Ferguson seems to have an unstable peace for the time being, but I have a hunch that is about to change, Michael Brown's funeral is Monday, a public event with 5000 people expected.   Israel v Hamas continues to smolder.   Rick Perry seems undeterred by a pesky law suit, he publishes new book, and goes to New Hampshire for what might be the opening of a 2016 bid.   Will Ryan run? He is not saying no.

Lots to talk about this week, The events in Furguson are disturbing. Many are equating it to the Trayvon Martin case.One wonders why the police officer involved is still a free man, I somehow doubt that had Darren Wilson been a regular 'joe' that would be the case. Texas Governor Rick Pery indicted on two felony counts, political stunt? Ukraine continues to burn, there are reports of more Russian manpower and equipment crossing the border. Putin to reopen a spy station in Cuba. US air strike in Iraq, where will this lead us?

Nearly lost to the sands of time, a recently discovered set of vintage ‘70s recordings from Chicago-based jazz-rock ensemble The Flock will finally be released as Heaven Bound - The Lost Album on July 22 through Cleopatra Records imprint Purple Pyramid! These never-before-released recordings feature founding Flock members Fred Glickstein (vocals, guitar), Ron Karpman (drums), and Jerry Smith (bass) on what could have been the band’s magnificent fourth album.

This week has been a busy one for the news world. Most of it very depressing. Isreal and Hamas contintue to pound away at each other. Iraq is is disintergrating onto a blood bath, Obama has green lighted air strikes against ISIS, this makes him the fourth president to launch an offensive in Iraq. Is it time that we just butted out of the entire Middle East and got on with our lives? Nothing good ever seems to come out our involvement in the region.
