Synopsis

We are a group of guys podcasting about the music of singer/songwriter Jimmy Buffett -- as viewed from the Great Lakes State. But since there is beer involved, who knows what we will end up talking about. Now that we've recorded more than a hundred episodes, we've decided to split the feed up. This is the feed for our first one hundred episodes.

Episodes

  • Episode 24: ¡Turquila!

Another FourCast: holiday dining tips, and favorite Fingers solo, Buffett shirt, and Buffett-influenced song. With special guests Hud, Larry, and Jennifer. Happy Thanksgiving!

  • Episode 23: Covers Charge

    10/11/2006 Duration: 41min

Scott's back, in time for another FourCast: favorite lyric, live song, and covers (song or art). Plus talk of a Buffetty Thanksgiving.

  • Episode 22: Best of Lists, Worst of Lists

    28/10/2006 Duration: 50min

  • Episode 21: The Greeks Don't Want No Freaks

    20/10/2006 Duration: 29min

Admittedly, this is not the show we intended. Two guys didn't show and our recording studio was double-booked. We're holding off on the best/worst lists we planned, and instead we'll just stick with the usual crap. show notes: http://www.northcoastcast.com email: podcast@northcoastcast.com

Thanks to Radio Margaritaville, Sirius 31, we got to hear Jimmy's new album ahead of its October 10 release date. Here are our pizza-and-tequila-fueled thoughts on the new material, from our listening party at Casa de Schmoe. show notes: http://www.northcoastcast.com email: podcast@northcoastcast.com

  • Episode 17: Wet Wet Wet

The North Coast boys, live in concert. Direct from the Pine Knob parking lot, where they tailgate and share their reactions to Jimmy's first Michigan show in three years.

  • Episode 11: Patio Bash

    04/08/2006 Duration: 39min

Our biggest turnout yet, Don, Laury, Greg, Greg 2.0, Mike, Mickey, Schmoe, and even Scott, discussing the new DVD and a classic album.

  • Episode 10: Squalls Out On the Great Lake

    27/07/2006 Duration: 50min

It's a double-wide episode to make up for last week's absence. Half of it is our normal show with Mike, Schmoe, and Mickey. But Schmoe, Mike, and Sarah recorded a whole other Gospel From the Coast show last week, which is included as a postscript.

A veritable Sargasso of a show, as our cast (Schmoe, Mike, Mickey, Greg, and Schmoe's sons Jacob and Nate) struggle to find the Topics of Conversation: more Caseville, souvenirs, Uncle Warren, a shoutout to Jackson Quigley, and memories of Buckeye Lake 93

  • Episode 6: Ticketo Trauma

Topics include our Ticketmaster misadventures, tailgating plans, summer storms, the shortest longest day of the year, punchline races, Caseville cheeseburgers, and even jury duty. Greg joins the group and it turns out we don't even really need Greg 2.0.

I recorded WCSX (94.7 FM) for eight hours Sunday and Monday to catch this ad. It aired at 9:22 AM Monday, less than an hour before Pine Knob tickets went on sale. The artwork comes from the Entertainment section (3F) of the Sunday Free Press.
