Ministers Rest

The Nature of the Almighty should be worn, not just described. We might have this beautiful robe in our wardrobe(spirit man), but the light of Jesus doesn't shine bright in our lives till we put off the other man and put on the new man!

There is a pattern that every overseer of the church must be shown to become effective ministers of the new testament. This revealed pattern must then be properly preached, taught and ministered to the body of Christ to ensure that the building bears the image of Christ.

For the past two thousand years, the church has prospered with miracles, signs, wonders and material wealth. These are good and have their place in the very early stages of christian maturity, but there is definitely more to christianity than this!

Now of the things we have spoken, this is the sum...

As servants of the Almighty, we have been given some non-negotiable responsibilities. It is in our best interest to sincerely seek out the wishes of our Master, finish the curriculum of godliness as we ensure that all diligence is given to make our calling and election sure!

In Peter's address on the day of Pentecost, he mentions something very important..."Jesus of Nazareth, a man approved of God...". Nowadays, the approval of God is treated with so much neglect, that we easily despise it. We seriously have to become this man approved of God...no matter the cost!

The blueprints of the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ to be constructed in each of us are found in a place neglected by a lot of us. While it is true that the architectural plan is etched on the pages of the bible and with some light, the revelations that we can come into might be incredible. Yet without the instructions that come from communion with the Spirit of God you will still not be able to read the drawings correctly to build what God is looking for!

Jesus parable of His wedding feast is a sobering one. Matthew 22 chronicles some of the most difficult to swallow words of the bible! Yet despite reading this passage over and over again, the reality of the severity of this race has to must dawn on us!

Keeping the heart in love with Jesus. That's what we are all here for. Yet distractions, false hopes, ambition and alternatives creep in. We just need to diligently guard this heart we were given!

True, actual unadulterated love without any hidden motives is not of this world. In fact, its beyond this earthly plane of existence. Knowing and experiencing it requires in interruption by a Being from another world entirely...

Love isn't a philosophical concept. It isn't some abstract notion. It isn't something mystical. Yet it is so far out of our reach and difficult to describe that it seems like it very much is all of these incredible things! We need to learn the laws of this incredible nature of the Father to journey into this wonderful realm of God and fulfill divine purpose...the way He wants it done!

We all have many reasons why we first started seeking Jesus. Some people, it was money, some healing, some peace, some marriage, some children. In the midst of these reasons is a focal point that most people except for a few miss. Seeking Jesus for His person. Can anyone seek God for that alone?

"Phileo", "Storge", "Eros" and "Agape". Knowing these Greek words and their theological interpretations in many languages doesn't mean that you've escaped the sword of 1 Corinthians 13:1. True love isn't preached alone...its done!

Why does pursuing God alone seem more difficult than preaching to people? Why is it easy for me to fall in love with a man/woman and yet falling in love with God demands so much effort? The calling of God upon us is that through us, all of creation will see who God is! So our goal as God's children should be to resemble our Father in His entirety! This is the hope of our calling as God's people. Sadly, many of us in the church find ourselves running away from this goal and pursuing things on this earth, things of the world...we should be living for nothing else but the glory of the Father!

Often times, because we try hard to please God, we might find ourselves recounting the pleasures of this world as more joyful than the reproaches of Christ...this ought not to be so! We are to delight in the fear of the Lord! This isn't a work of our flesh, its a work of the Spirit of God who is at work in us both to will and to do of His good pleasure.

This journey of life should be propelled by one thing - a deep longing and intense desire for God's Heart. That the very thought of God makes us quake and tremble with love for Him!

Man is not just the physical body. He is a spirit, who has a soul and lives in a body. The Soul of man itself has many components like the mind, will emotions and most importantly, the heart! Learn how to rightly divide scripture so as to draw the true anatomy of man God gave to us in His word.

All the eyes of the Lord scan this universe in search for one thing - His dwelling place. This place of His rest is the reason for all of creation and even till now is the single burning desire of the Father. The problem is we have mistaken his dwelling place for heaven… But He Himself knows that the heavens and the heaven of heavens cannot contain Him…but there is one thing fulfills this burning the desire of the Almighty - A heart that is after His. This heart alone can unlock not just the treasures of the Almighty, but His very Person!
