The grand opening of Solomon's Temple was fantastic! When the Ark was placed in the Holy of Holies, the Glory of Lord began to fill the temple preventing the Levites from conducting their sacrifices. Like a political and spy drama, intrigue unfolds in the city of Jerusalem as Absalom is given wise and false advice regarding his next actions. In the end, David's prayer was answered and Ahithopel's advice was turned into foolishness. Absalom gathering the regular army of Israel and those that would follow him and marched to fight David at Mahaniam. Once Absolam goes to Hebron and declares himself king, his rebellion increases in strength and numbers and David has to evacuate Jerusalem. Upon his evacuation from Jerusalem, David and his court and his mighty men marched for two miles to and up the Mount of Olives.
