"No Helmet, No Ride" founders, Mary and Willi Bosch
30/10/2017 Duration: 30minWilli Bosch was an avid hockey and lacrosse player in elementary and middle school. He played for his local association as well as AAA hockey teams. On July 7, 2014 Willi fell while riding his longboard alone in Roseville. He called a friend who helped him return to his dad’s house. What unfolded from there was unthinkable. Willi was taken to United Hospital where it was discovered his brain was bleeding. He was transported to Regions Hospital where two more brain bleeds were discovered as well as two skull fractures. Willi underwent an emergency craniotomy. His parents were told his chances of surviving were slim, but Willi isn’t much of a quitter. Three weeks after his accident he woke up and continued to fight back to who he was on July 6. He worked with speech therapists, occupational therapists, physical therapists and doctors at Gillette Children's Specialty Healthcare to regain and strengthen everything he could. Willi was aptly named because his will is his greatest gift in his recovery.

Tim Laskowski was born and raised in Erie, Pennsylvania and has worked in social services for most of his adult life. He also has a PhD in English Literature. For 21 years, he was a case manager in Montana working with people with disabilities, many of which were TBI survivors. Currently, Tim lives in Prescott, Arizona and is the Program Manager for US VETS, a program that serves homeless veterans. Tim has served on the Board of Directors for the Montana Brain Injury Alliance and for VSA Arts of Montana, an organization that promotes art opportunities for people with disabilities. Tim is the author of the novel, Every Good Boy Does Fine, published by Southern Methodist University Press in 2003. Brain injury survivor, Mark Glaser, shares his journey after a motorcycle accid

Mark Glaser, author of 58 Feet: The Second That Changed Our Lives, grew up in the small ranching town of Calhan, Colorado, surrounded by airplanes and motorcycles. His love of motorcycles followed him into adulthood. When he met his wife, Robyn, through a mutual friend, he often took her on long dates on his motorcycle. In 2010, Mark and Robyn’s lives were unexpectedly changed when they were involved in a motorcycle accident. Robyn sustained a concussion, but Mark collided with the car that had turned into them and sustained a traumatic brain injury. He was airlifted to a Level I Trauma Center in Lakewood, Colorado where he spent 30 days in the Neurosurgical ICU before being transferred to Craig Hospital for rehabilitation. Film maker Diane Musselman creates moving video portraying young stroke patient

Born and raised in southern Illinois, Diane Musselman participated in music and drama throughout her childhood years. This includes playing first chair flute in her high school band as well as acting in school theater productions. She moved to California in 1981 and received her Bachelors and Master’s Degree at California State University, Northridge, in Speech Pathology. During those years, she continued to act on stage and in commercials, most notably in The Elephant Man and The Good Doctor.
