16/04/2025 Duration: 11minलखनऊ की आफ़िया खान एक अनोखी शिल्पकार हैं, जो चांदी की सैंडल और जूतियां बनाती हैं। इस पारंपरिक कला में वो शायद इकलौती महिला हैं। उनके परिवार में यह शिल्प कई पीढ़ियों से चला आ रहा है और मात्र सात वर्ष की उम्र में ही आफ़िया ने इस कला की ओर रुझान दिखाया था। एक महिला के लिए उस पेशे में टिकना जिसमें सालों से पुरुष काम कर रहे हैं, अपने आप में चुनौतीपूर्ण था। लेकिन आफ़िया ने तमाम मुश्किलों के बावजूद इस खूबसूरत कला को अपनाया और इसे नए आयाम दिए। जहां आमतौर पर लोग सोने-चांदी के आभूषण पहनते हैं, वहीं आफ़िया खास चांदी की सैंडल और जूतियां तैयार करती हैं, जिन्हें आप चाहे तो हीरे-जवाहरात से भी सजा सकते हैं। यह शिल्प लखनऊ की सदियों पुरानी विरासत का हिस्सा है।
