Behind every amazing piece of art that you love is lots of toil and unsexy effort. That's the 1% door. If you can open that door and step through, art is easy.

The most important thing in any piece of art is not technical skill or accuracy but how well it engages the audience. To Nathan, pictorial composition is the umbrella for the foundations of engagement, which he breaks down further into unity with variety, and the poetry of balance and rhythm.
