This week Tommy and I do a recap of the U23 tournament and why we are living in the golden age of USA Wrestling. We are also welcomed by the Head Coach of the Princeton Tigers Wrestling Team, Joe Dubuque. We talk through some of the amazing experiences he has had. Additionally we talk through the lessons from his coaching career and around some of his many influences. He also breaks down the incoming Freshman class and what we can expect from this crew. This week we talk about Flag Football and some of the fun new additions to the Olympic schedule in 2028. More importantly, we talk about Women's wrestling, some of the Iowa Women's schedule, and we connect with Jake Short the new Head Coach of the Grand Valley State University Women's Wrestling Team. In this conversation we talk about his wrestling career at Minnesota, his transition into coaching, and the foundational plans with his new team. We also talk Tennis. Rock On!

This week Tommy and Kevin first discuss the news that Austin Gomez is possibly back to College Wrestling. We continue to discuss the news that friend of the Podcast Grant Leeth was hired to build the Tarleton State University Wrestling Program, the first D1 program in Texas. We then talk about Grand Valley State Universities star studded first dual on November 1st. The bulk of the episode we are joined by Mark Branch, Head Coach of Wyoming. We discuss his career, his coaching experiences, and what we can expect from this Cowboy lineup. Rock on.

In this episode Tommy and I have some quick reactions to the schedule releases, we talk Haley Augello coming out of retirement, and some fun Monday duals. Also, we talk about the joys of parenting. Rock On.

This week Tommy and I quickly recap the Greco portion of Worlds briefly and highlight some bright aspects regarding to qualifying Greco weights for the Olympics. We also discuss the Schedule release of Wyoming, who is our adopted program for the 23-24 season. The meat of the episode we speak with 2003 High School Graduate, and Michigan Assistant Coach, Josh Churella. We discuss their recent alumni tailgate, the CKWC showing at World's, team and team 102. He also graciously allows to walk through his High School career, and time competing for the Wolverines. This was fun for me, I hope it's fun for you. Rock on!

U.S.A. U.S.A. U.S.A. This week we largely talk about the World Wrestling Championships, Team USA winning the world team title for the second year in a row, and we comment on a lot of the qualification aspects as well as speculate who will change weights for next season. Also, we discuss Joe Dubuque rightfully getting the Princeton job and we are excited to see what he'll do at the helm. We also discuss the Women's results to this point, and we predict the future as well. Rock On!

In this week's episode we begin with Coach Chris Ayers moving from Princeton to Stanford. We follow that up with the ambiguous and curious Gable Steveson situation. But most importantly, we cover Men's and Women's freestyle and previews for the World Championships. The tournament starts this Saturday, so check this out so you are prepared and knowledgeable, or at least have a couple good jokes to throw out there. Rock on.

This week Tommy and I talk through some of the Olympic qualifying landscape, and some of the changes. We also talk about what the wrestling world was like when we started the podcast 9 years ago. Then we navigate through some of the preseason rankings and our collective thoughts. Rock on.

This week Tommy and I begin with well wishes for Sammy Sasso. Hoping a full and easy going recovery. We also finish recapping some of the Women's U20 results from last week. We also talk about the many moves that led Coleman Scott back to Stillwater as Associate Head Coach of Oklahoma State. We also talk to Alex Clemsen, Head Coach at Maryland about his young team, their schedule, and the opportunity to host B1Gs. 

This week we talk through Helen Maroulis making her 13th Olympic/World Team along with the excitement from Jordan with the U20 Men's Freestyle successes to this point. Next we are joined by the awesome Jon Reader, whose enthusiasm and tenacity are matched by nobody else on the planet. We talk about him being inducted into the Glen Brand Hall of Fame in Iowa, followed by spring/summer coaching responsibilities, and some of the leaders and emerging leaders on the Wisconsin Badgers wrestling team. In the dog days of summer, Tommy and I still bless your ear holes with some fun talks of conference realignment and how/where it affects wrestling. We also talk through some of the U17 results on the men's and women's side, and we talk through the upcoming Helen Maroulis v Civhitl Mota-Pettis match on August 12th. Rock On!

This week Tommy and I discuss the goings on in Poland, why we love college wrestling. the changes to the Heavyweight landscape without Gable, the perils of gambling, and all sorts of other important things. We also learn that the country code AIN stands for AIN't Russia. Rock On.

This week we talk through some of the Budapest results from a couple weeks back, and quick talk of Fargo. Then we speak with Roger Kish - Head Coach at Oklahoma. We talk about competing in High School, life long relationships with coaches and competitors, his time at NDSU, and the move to Oklahoma. We finish strong with parent corner. Rock on.

This week Tommy and Kevin discuss what having twins must be like, while we congratulate Whitney Conder-Cox and J'Den, since it was announced that they are having twins. We also talk about some of the goings on in the WWE world. Lastly we go over some of the greatest USA Wrestling moments that we can think of. Enjoy.

This week we had the opportunity to speak with LIU Assistant Coach, Charles Small. We talked about his development from Junior Collage National Champion, through D1 competitor, to coaching at the D1 level. We also talk through his journey through coaching and the goals with Long Island University. Tommy joins the podcast and we talk through Austin Gomez joining the CKWC and additional goings on with the wrestling community.

This week we start the episode with one of West Michigan's finest, Devin Schroder. Devin wrestled for Grand Rapids Catholic Central, where he was a 3x State Champ. He then had a stellar career at Purdue before coaching at Cleveland State and now with Wyoming. We walk through that journey, and talk about the Detroit Lions. It's our year. Tommy joins for the end where we talk about Gable returning to college wrestling, as well as the big name transfers to Iowa from NDSU. Rock On!

This week Tommy and I recap what was as wild a Final X as we could have reasonably anticipated. Actually, wilder than we could've anticipated. Nobody picked these results, and if you did, then I'm calling you a liar. The refs were bad, and we want changes with that, so we talk about it. Also, we're winning 29/30 medals. Which is good.

Review/Preview to the excess. However, you're first presented with the brilliance of the leg lace from Dustin Plott. The mat awareness and adjustments were masterful. Also, we'll talk about the Final X matchups, most important matches to watch, and the consequences of the final X third place matchups, and how they impact the U23 results.

This week I talk through some of the results from WTTs, and the Final X matchups. A lot to look forward to at Final X, including the third place matches coming up. We spend the bulk of the episode talking with the coaching staff of Gardner Webb Wrestling, Daniel Elliot and Scott Mattingly. We talked through Coach Mattingly's trip to GW, his 5+ years with the program, and the future of the team. Rock on.

We start the podcast with me lamenting the NBA Lottery. Mostly though, Tommy and I discuss the Sienna Heights hiring of Whitney Cox (Condor), and how great that is. We also get into some of the other changes in the college wrestling landscape. Mostly though, we talk about the WTT Trials and potential matchups, and some predictions as well. Rock On.
