Your Network Of Praise's Podcast

Marci had a conversation with Austin French recently. While his story begins in a place of pain, and includes some really significant church hurt, Jesus does what only "Jesus Can" and there is redemption and joy in the story too. His latest album, Wake Up Sleeper is an autobiographical story of growing up and finding God, Austin hopes it’s also a legacy for his children, each song is a heart-filled encouragement that the best it yet to come.  Listen in and be encouraged. 

Marci caught up with Micah Tyler recently for a fun conversation! He was a youth pastor for over a decade before he got into the music industry, so he really has a heart for young people and the issues they face. He just released an album in March called "People Like Us" which includes hits like "I See Grace" and his latest hit, "Praise the Lord." On today's Network Update, Roger let us know that one week from today is the official launch of RadioAfrica.FM! Once this podcast network goes live, it will provide solid Bible teaching in 4 African languages, with dozens of additional languages coming in the future!  He also called for prayer as we near this year's Sharathon, which begins with the Day of Hope on September 11th. Roger gave us a look ahead at Sharathon, coming up next month, September 11-15th. He gave an update on the localization of the radio station in Salt Lake City, that's coming soon. Dave has asked Marci to get to know our artists a little better, and today it was Danny Gokey's turn! Listen in to hear about his ministry outside of music, and his message to young people on how to combat what the world and social media says, with the Truth of God's word. Dave has tasked Marci with getting to know our artists better, and today it's Colton Dixon's turn!  He is busy at home as a dad of 3 year old twins, and is also juggling family life with some time on the road.  From his recently released EP, Canvas, the song Build A Boat was #1  on CCM charts for 7 consecutive weeks in 2022. Keep an ear out for the latest song to drop from that album, My Light, here on Your Network of Praise. Roger Lonnquist visited the Morning Show for another Network Update, and it all began with a discussion of an answer to prayer, as we are now able to send payroll payments to all of our African staff! This had been cut-off a few weeks ago for a couple of staff members, due to civil unrest in Cameroon.  Praising God for His provision in that area. Please be praying with us about future plans, as we plan to begin the personalized format in Salt Lake City, in the very near future, and the target date for the RadioAfrica.com launch is August 28th. The KXEI Anniversary celebration was a great time to honor those who have been a part of the YNOP ministry for many years and it's founding going back to 1979 when the first conversations started happening about a radio station on the Hi-Line. Roger will give us a recap on that. Also there are many things to keep lifting in prayer for YNOP. Those include radioafrica.fm launching late August, the new format in Salt Lake called Utah's Hope, and the difficulty on getting paychecks to our staff in Africa. 

Marci sat down with Benjamin William Hastings on the Morning Show! You may know him from songs like So Will I (100 Billion X) and his brand new one, That's the Thing About Praise. He's a relatively new artist, originally from Belfast, with a hint of an Irish accent. He's authentic, sweet and an extremely talented song writer. We've been seeing the chemical abortion pill, Mifepristone, in the news a lot recently. Today, Earl and Brad Mattes (President of Life Issues Institute) discussed a major court case headed to district circuit court on May 14th. After that ruling, it will likely end up in the U.S. Supreme Court. Listen to the details here, and please be in prayer.

Our theme through the year is "Brighter Days" based on the song from Blessing Offor. Roger and Dave spend some time to reflect on the encouragement YNOP can bring to maintain and strengthen our Godly perspective. All done through the music, teaching programs, features through the day and prayer. Just as with YNOP, our overseas listeners have the same encouragement through New Life Africa Satellite Network and Vie Nouvelle Afrique. Roger will also give an update on the story about the Maasai hotel worker who received a YNOP Ambassador Bible!

Dave and Roger catch up about the progress on the localization of KNIT in Salt Lake City. We are excited to have an opportunity to have a much more local approach to the city by splitting off KNIT into it's own format, however, much like YNOP in the music and programs. Roger will talk about the next steps in the distribution of the YNOP Ambassador Audio Bibles to the Maasai tribe of East Africa. 

Brad Mattes of Life Issues Institute addressed the lie that “pro-lifers only care about the fetus and don’t support the Mother or child following delivery.”  He will focus on several “Maternity Homes” that care for the unborn baby, its Mother, and other children in their family. 

Roger talks with Marci about that weather! As the spring weather slowly works it's way in we will be getting back to transmitter sites to finish up the satellite transition. On the heels of that are repairs at KXEI and KALS with tower work, and then the new transmitters need to be installed at KALS and KMCJ. In the mix will be the new stations with KGLE-FM in Glendive and KXEB in Big Timber. Roger will give an update on our YNOP Ambassador Bible projects, then wrap up with a great testimony from Kenya.
