And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Saviour has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord." Luke 2 v8-11

"Then the cloud covered the tent of meeting, and the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle....So the cloud of the Lord was over the tabernacle by day, and fire was in the cloud by night, in the sight of all the Israelites during all their travels." Exodus 40 v34 & 38

Then the Lord said: “I am making a covenant with you. Before all your people I will do wonders never before done in any nation in all the world. The people you live among will see how awesome is the work that I, the Lord, will do for you." Exodus 34 v10

Moses said to the Lord, “You have been telling me, ‘Lead these people,’ but you have not let me know whom you will send with me... The Lord replied, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Exodus 33 v12 &14
